Abstract
In the gneis of the Bentomiz extensional unit (Sierra Tejeda area), the alpine metamorphic evolution was studied. These rocks show high pressure-high temperature (HP/HT) assemblages. An extensional deformation before Neogene has been recognized in the Aipujarride Complex.
