dc.description.abstractThis study addresses the sustainable revitalization of the Canal de Castilla through a community-focused approach and an assessment via fuzzy logic of the implementation of hydroelectric turbines. The canal, built in the 18th century, played a key role in transportation and territorial unification, but the deterioration of the locks has limited its functionality. This research use surveys as tools to assess the impact of the Canal de Castilla in different areas. With more than 85% of the inhabitants analyzed supporting measures in the areas of building and research at a high or very high level, and specifically proposing sustainable improvements that respect historical heritage, the installation of axial turbines in the cross channels is proposed as an efficient solution, highlighting their adaptability and low environmental impact. The careful selection of turbines, considering the historic nature of the canal, is supported with a detailed analysis using fuzzy logic. The innovation lies in the synergistic integration of community perceptions and technical analysis, providing a balanced foundation for decision making in heritage revitalization projects. This proactive approach seeks not only to identify challenges but also to formulate solutions, committing to sustainable development and active community participation.es_ES
