El sistema universitario andaluz en el contexto Europeo : hacia un nuevo horizonte educativo

Abstract

El Sistema Universitario Andaluz (SUA) ha completado con éxito el inicio de la adaptación al Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior. Buena parte de este éxito se debe a la previsión mostrada por las universidades andaluzas, que hace más de un lustro protagonizaron una implantación experimental del sistema de créditos europeos (ECTS) y que en el curso anterior, 2009/2010, ya impartían de forma voluntaria 96 títulos de grado y 333 másteres adaptados. El proceso de Bolonia ha propiciado, e incluso acelerado en cierta medida, la profunda transformación a la que estaba siendo objeto el Sistema Universitario Andaluz. Iniciada hace una década, dicha transformación se ha centrado en la mejora del sistema de financiación universitario y el incremento de la misma, así como en el aumento y la eficaz planificación de las inversiones en materia de infraestructuras y equipamiento universitarios. El Proceso de Bolonia ha servido, además, para ampliar y complementar la oferta existente en el SUA, incluyendo nuevas enseñanzas que respondiesen a la realidad socioeconómica y a la demanda del tejido social y productivo andaluz. Con las nuevas enseñanzas verificadas al completo, aún queda pendiente una parte no menos importante del proceso: el seguimiento de dichas titulaciones y la renovación de su acreditación transcurridos 6 años desde su inclusión en el Registro de Universidades, Centros y Títulos (RUCT).

The Andalusian University System has successfully finished its adjustment to the European Higher Education Area. Great part of this success is due to the forecast provided by the Andalusian universities, which five years ago led an experimental implementation of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). And what is more, in the last academic year 2009/2010, they ran voluntarily 96 graduate and 333 master degrees adapted. Bolonia adaptation process has allowed, and even accelerated to a certain extent, the deep transformation of the Andalusian University System (SUA). Running for more than one decade, this transformation is focused on the improvement and the augmentation of the university funding system and the efficient planning of the investment in University infrastructures and equipments. Moreover, the Bolonia process has been useful to extend the existing SUA offer and include the new teaching experiences in response to both the socioeconomic reality and the Andalusian social and production network. With these degrees, completely verified, there is a last but least pending part of the process: the monitoring of these degrees and the renewal of the accreditation 6 years after their in the Registry of Universities, Centres and Degrees (RUCT)
