La protección a las familias en la Seguridad Social

Abstract

Con este trabajo se analiza el conjunto normativo de Seguridad Social dirigido a la protección de la familia. Con independencia de si se trata de una protección directa o indirecta, se señalan las diferentes prestaciones contributivas y no contributivas que tienen objetivos de carácter familiar. El resultado es la constatación de un sistema transversal de protección, tremendamente heterogéneo y carente de unidad, que requiere la actuación del legislador para unificar las distintas medidas si se quiere que las familias puedan ser verdaderamente protegidas por la Seguridad Social.

This paper aims to analyze the set of Social Security regulations aimed at protecting the family. Regardless of whether it is direct or indirect protection, the different contributory and non-contributory benefits that have family objectives are indicated. The result is the confirmation of a transversal system of protection, tremendously heterogeneous and lacking in unity, which requires the action of the legislator to unify the different measures if families are to be truly protected by Social Security.
