Abstract

Given the need to strengthen educational innovation through the use of digital technologies, higher education institutions face the challenge of integrating artificial intelligence tools that effectively support teaching and learning. In this context, generative artificial intelligence (GAI) has been introduced as a virtual assistant in educational settings to provide immediate feedback, learning support, and more personalized learning experiences. This study uses a mixed-methods approach to examine the impact of a GAI-based virtual assistant on university students, focusing on their perceptions, its usefulness, and its contribution to learning within a business simulation environment. The findings highlight the potential of GAI as a support tool for learning and its role in promoting pedagogical innovation in higher education.
