Los Nuevos comunes: disputando la transición inaplazable

Abstract

La economía actual, capitalista, patriarcal y crecientemente financiarizada, se apoya en cercamientos (sociales, ambientales o en torno a infraestructuras) que reproducen su hegemonía y dificultan la emergencia de otras miradas y prácticas económicas. Frente a esos cercamientos, las estrategias de las Economías-otras pueden considerarse, dentro de una gran diversidad de enfoques y contextos, una expresión de Nuevos comunes que buscan desempotrar la sociedad y la economía de la entente neoliberal y crecientemente autoritaria de las élites. Nuevos comunes son los viejos comunales que aún persisten manejando colectivamente territorios (bosques, dehesas, cuencas hidrográficas) o bienes naturales (agua, biodiversidad, bancos de pesca). Y son también nuevas iniciativas en temas como alimentación, energía, educación, servicios o transporte que se comprometen, desde una práctica de gestión compartida, con economías ecológicas, de cuidados, comunitarias o de corte social y solidario

The current, capitalist, patriarchal and increasingly financialized economy relies on enclosures (social, environmental or around infrastructure) that reproduce its hegemony and hinder the emergence of other perspectives and economic practices. In the face of these enclosures, the strategies of the Economies-Others can be considered, within a great diversity of approaches and contexts, an expression of new commons that seek to derail the society and economy of the neo-liberal and increasingly authoritarian entity of the elites. New commons are the old communal that still persist collectively managing territories (forests, pastures, river basins) or natural assets (water, biodiversity, fishing benches). And they are also new initiatives in fields such as food, energy, education, services or transport that are committed, from a shared management practice, with ecological, caring, community or social and solidarity-based economies
