Endecasílabos con acentos en 6ª y 7ª sílabas

Abstract

El estudio del endecasílabo con acentos en 6ª y 7ª sílabas permite abordar el problema que plantea la secuencia de dos acentos consecutivos en un verso silabo-tónico. Se trata de un fenómeno métrico que los poetas canónicos han sabido utilizar como recurso expresivo. Por otra parte, el análisis de las curvas de tono demuestra que la tonicidad relativa de las sílabas 6ª y 7ª no está prefi jada, y podemos encontrar un tono más alto tanto en una como en otra sílaba. Por último, la secuencia de los dos acentos facilita que el verso se realice y se oiga como un verso con dos hemistiquios.

The study of the hendecasyllabe with accents on the 6th and 7th syllables allows us to address the problem of the sequence of two consecutive accents in a stress-syllable line. This metric pattern is used by canonical poets as an expressive device. Besides, the analysis of the tone curves shows that the relative tonicity of the 6th and 7th syllables is not fi xed; each may have a higher pitch. Finally, this accentual pattern allows the hendecasyllabe to be realized and perceived as a line divides into two hemistiches.
