Política, sanidad y educación en las donaciones de obras al parlamento del Trienio Liberal

Abstract

El Trienio Liberal fue el primer periodo parlamentario español. En este marco legislativo, y a lo largo de los debates de las diferentes leyes que la prolífica acción de los diputados realizó, llegaron al hemiciclo como donaciones 83 obras de autoría nacional y otras 13 de escritores extranjeros. Con este artículo, pretendemos hacer una descripción, tanto cuantitativa como cualitativa, de los textos que, en su mayoría, nutrieron a las comisiones que tuvieron el encargo de elaborar la legislación que se estaba gestando en la Cámara. El hecho de que los diputados no se limitaran a aceptar las obras, sino que las distribuyeran entre las diferentes comisiones, sugiere que se preocuparon por preparar leyes de calidad, depuradas no sólo a partir del debate del hemiciclo, sino también a través de lecturas especializadas en cada materia.

The Liberal Triennium was the first Spanish parliamentary period. In this legislative framework, and throughout the debates of the different laws that the prolific action of the deputies carried out, 83 books of national authorship and another 13 of foreign writers arrive at the hemicycle as donations. This article intends to make a description, both quantitative and qualitative, of the texts that —for the most part— were nourishing the commissions that were commissioned to carry out the legislation that was being developed in the Chamber. The fact that the deputies did not limit themselves to accepting the books that were coming to them, but distributed them among the different commissions, suggests that they were concerned with drafting quality laws, refined not only from the debate in the hemicycle but also through specialized readings in each subject.
