Abstract
En este artículo se analiza, a partir de las obras de las artistas colombianas: Débora Arango,
Clemencia Lucena, Beatriz González, María Eugenia Trujillo y Nadia Granados, el modo en que
han logrado conquistar un lugar de posición crítica frente a problemáticas sociales y políticas
del país, tales como: la violencia, la corrupción y el narcotráfico. Del mismo modo, se examina,
cómo a través de la adopción de una posición artivista, consiguen demostrar que su condición
de mujeres no significa el silenciamiento de sus ideas y opiniones. Reflejando el surgimiento de
una nueva actitud en la creación, en la que, por medio de sus discursos visuales, contrarrestan
con contundencia: los espacios de poder y opinión antes ocupados solo por hombres, y a su vez,
la situación de invisibilidad y estereotipación a la que habían sido sometidas históricamente las
mujeres en diversos ámbitos, el artístico, el social y el político.
This article analyzes, based on the works of Colombian artists: Débora Arango, Clemencia Lucena, Beatriz González, María Eugenia Trujillo and Nadia Granados, the way in which they have managed to conquer a place of critical position regarding social and country’s policies, such as: violence, corruption and drug trafficking. In the same way, it is examined how, through the adoption of an artivist position, they manage to demonstrate that their status as women does not mean the silencing of their ideas and opinions. Reflecting the emergence of a new attitude in creation, in which, through their visual discourses, they forcefully counteract: the spaces of power and opinion previously occupied only by men and, in turn, the situation of invisibility and stereotyping, to which those women had historically been subjected to in various fields such as the artistic, social and political.
