Hallazgo de trilobites en pizarras negras graptolíticas del Silúrico inferior (Telychiense, Llandovery) de la Zona Centroibérica (España)

Abstract

The first Silurian trilobites from the Spanish part of the Central Iberian Zone are described and illustrated. They have been identified as Preodontochile batalleri (Hernández Sampelayo, 1944), a phacopine species previously known in Telychian black shales of the Spanish Pyrenees. The stratigraphic context and age of the type material are the same than those from the locality studied herein, proving to be the first common species between benthic faunas from both areas
