Abstract
En este trabajo se analizan las máximas (gnomai) en Calírroe de Caritón de Afrodisias en tanto que recursos de caracterización. Se resalta que la mayor parte de ellas están en boca del narrador y que deben considerarse junto con los demás medios que este emplea (resúmenes, anticipaciones y valoraciones) para manifestar su omnisciencia y omnipresencia en la trama.
This paper analyses the maxims (gnomai) in Chariton of Aphrodisias' Callirhoe as resources for characterisation. It also highlights that most of them are expressed by the narrator. They must be considered, along with the other devices, such as summaries, anticipations and evaluations, as devices used to show the narrator’s omniscience and omnipresence in the plot.
