Abstract

In this sense, the undeniable qualitative improvement made by Rome thanks to its territorial planning with the clear objective of optimising the exploitation of resources and their organisation through a solid mercantile network, brought with it a process of relative homogenisation of the whole Provincia. This circumstance changed in the Low-Imperial period, from which time onwards, the differences in terms of population were accentuated due to the social, administrative and economic diversity of each area, characteristics that were determined by the urban centres that managed and articulated the regions under their influence.
