Abstract

Un texto de Apiano relativo al comienzo de la guerra celtibérica nos plantea el significado del lobo y la piel del lobo con la que uno puede embozarse, según se observe desde la óptica griega, latina, o céltica. Las diferencias de percepción provocan la sorpresa en el escritor, ante hechos y actitudes que no alcanza a comprender.

A text of Appian, conceming the beginning of Celtiberian war, led us to re- flect on the significance of the wolf and the use of its skin to cover the face, and the observation of this practice from the Greek, Latín or Celtic perspectíve. These differences of perception provoked Appian’s surprise in the presence of attitudes and facts he does not understand.
