Abstract
La proclamación de la II República,
recibida con ilusión en muchos sectores,
auspiciaba una etapa de cambios y progreso
social. Sin embargo, en poco tiempo serían
notorias las manifestaciones de oposición
a las medidas del nuevo gobierno,
manifestaciones que en ocasiones tenían un
marcado carácter violento. Especialmente
ante las medidas legislativas que incidían en
el ámbito eclesiástico, como la disolución
de la Compañía de Jesús o la Ley de
Confesiones y Congregaciones Religiosas.
El artículo estudia cómo la violencia política
vivida en estos años afecta y condiciona
en diversos aspectos el mundo educativo
vallisoletano, caracterizado por unas
culturas escolares de carácter conservador
The proclamation of the Second Spanish Republic, which was welcomed enthusiastically in many sectors, ushered in a period of social progress and change. Nevertheless, opposition to the new government would not take long to manifest itself, sometimes in a remarkably violent fashion. This was especially so when faced with the new legislative measures that affected the Church, such as the dissolution of the Society of Jesus or the Law of Religious Confessions and Congregations. In this research paper we will study the extent to which the political violence experienced throughout these years had a severe impact on the educational sector in Valladolid, which was characterized by markedly conservative academic cultures
