En las décadas primeras del siglo XVIII fue compuesto un romance anónimo que hay documentado en un manuscrito de la Biblioteca Nacional de España. Es una parodia del episodio del recibimiento de los duques a don Quijote y Sancho (cap. II, 31) del Quijote. Se analizan las fuentes y los modelos literarios del romance, y también sus elementos antijudíos
