El héroe fragmentario en la narrativa de Thomas Mann e Italo Svevo

Abstract

Estudio comparativo de la obra narrativa de Thomas Mann e Italo Svevo en la que se analizan los elementos literarios que definen a los protagonistas de los relatos de ambos autores como héroes fragmentarios. Se atiende al fundamento filosófico que conecta a estos escritores, a la caracterización de los personajes, así como a los aspectos narratológicos que enmarcan las diferentes obras. El objetivo es demostrar las similitudes existentes y no estudiadas con anterioridad entre estos dos grandes literatos de la narrativa europea de finales del XIX y principios del XX.--------------------------------------------------------Comparative study of Thomas Mann and Italo Svevo’s narrative work. It analyses the literary elements that define the main characters of their stories as fragmentary heroes. It deals with the philosophic theories that connect both authors, with the creation of the characters, as well as with narratological aspects of the different works. It proves the similarities, non studied previously, between these two great writers of the European narrative from the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century
