Abstract
mental. Se encontraron resultados acordes a estudios
previos, siendo recomendable continuar investigando
Since its appearance at the end of 2019, COVID-19 has become a global pandemic, bringing with it many consequences for the mental health of the population. The present study aimed to find out if people who showed a high score in trait anxiety perceived a higher level of negative impacts as a consequence of COVID-19. For this, the perceived impacts of COVID-19 and the levels of trait and state anxiety have been analyzed in a sample of 266 people, who completed the STAI questionnaire and the Covid Scale questionnaire, prepared for this research, online. The main results showed a relationship between anxiety (trait and state) and the maintenance factor of mental health. In addition, correlations were found between the factors of loss of social and leisure contact and the maintenance of mental health. Differences were also observed between women and men regarding the factor of maintaining mental health. Results consistent with previous studies were found, and it is recommended to continue investigating the relationship between anxiety and the perception of the consequences of COVID-19
