El cine en la clase de historia

Abstract

La fascinación que provoca el cine, su capacidad para recrear el pasado o para reflejar el presente y la predisposición de los alumnos y alumnas hacia los medios audiovisuales, convierten el séptimo arte en un recurso didáctico de primer orden. No obstante, en este trabajo se incide en la idea de que las películas tienen una importante carga ideológica y que las obras cinematográficas son, ante todo, creaciones artísticas y no simples reflejos de la realidad y la historia. En este sentido, se propone que las enormes posibilidades del cine para un aprendizaje significativo tienen que orientarse para enseñar a verlas de forma reflexiva y crítica.

The fascination that the cinema provokes, its ability to recreate the past or to reflect the present and the predisposition of students towards the audiovisual media turn the cinema into a top-rated educational resource. However, this work influences the idea that movies have an important ideological responsibility and that cinematographic works are, first of all, artistic creations and not simple reflections of the reality and history. In this sense, this contribution suggests that the huge possibilities of the cinema for a meaningful learning have to be guided to teach how to see them in a reflexive and critical way.
