Abstract
Questa indagine territoriale è stata concepita
per interpretare le relazioni e le trasformazioni
intercorse tra ambiente marino, lagunare e costiero
dalla protostoria all’età storica.
This territorial investigation has been conceived to interpret the relationships and transformations that took place between the marine, lagoon and coastal environments from the prehistoric to the historical periods. To obtain a systematic understanding of the types of settlements in the different periods examinations were made of sample areas to be later surveyed both on land and underwater starting from San Giovanni di Sinis going north east and touching the Mistras lagoon to delimit an area of about 12 km. The interpretation of the aerial photographic information alongside the study of the archaeological material has been important to understand the most intense phases of use and abandonment of the coastal settlements
