Arquitectura sedimentaria y estratigrafía secuencial del Cenomaniense superior-Cenomaniense terminal. Cordillera Ibérica Central

Abstract

The D.S. «Cabrejas del Pinar» is recorded during upper Cenomanian-uppermost Cenomanian. The low system tract is not recorded. No clear evidences for the high system tracts and similar facies on the field between two overlaping transgressive system tracts make difficult to identify and correlate the boundary along the ramp. The D.S is represented in the area by mid ramp facies consisting of nodular limestones developing SE to shallower nodular deposits with sedimentary structures. The thickness is ranging from 12 m at the NW to 4 m at the southeasternmost part. The T.5.T. is composed by four parasequences with onlap geometry and retrogradational evolution southeastward. The parasequences space distribution Is conditioned by the paleogeography and configuration of the ramp of NO porallty
