Abstract
Apresenta-se o conjunto da cerâmica pintada da
segunda metade do I milénio a.n.e. exumada durante
In this paper we present the painted pottery from the second half of the first millennium BCE recovered during the excavations undertaken in the Castle of Castro Marim between 1983-1988 and 2001-2003. Based on the formal, productive and stylistic analysis of these pieces, we discuss also the cultural, economic and politic integration of ancient Baesuris in pre-roman times, and especially its relation – and more broadly that of the Algarve region – with Gadir.
