Abstract
Computer models of Pangean paleoclimate predict a frigid and dry climate for the Antarctica during the Triassic. However, the paleosols recognised in the Middle Triassic lack permafrost features and include root traces of woody vegetation. Furthermore, the slight weathering and the non calcareous rhizocretions indicate a humid climate . The study of the paleosols reveals a paleoclimatic anomaly in the Antarctica during the Middle Triassic
