"Interculturalidad" en la mediación escolar

Abstract

Este trabajo presenta una aproximación al ámbito profesional de la mediación intercultural desde una perspectiva teórico-práctica. Por un lado, se profundiza en el debate terminológico en torno a la mediación y, por otro, se presenta una experiencia de mediación intercultural en contextos escolares. Este último aspecto permitirá concretar las funciones que teóricamente corresponden a la mediación intercultural escolar y las que realmente se están llevando a cabo. Además, se apuntarán algunas conclusiones que pueden estimular ciertas mejoras de actuación en la mediación intercultural.

This work is an approach to professional intercultural mediation from a theoretical-practical perspective. We will review the terminological debate about the mediation and show an experience of intercultural mediation in school contexts. This aspect will allow specifying the functions that theoretically correspond to intercultural school mediation, and those which are really being carried out. Finally, we will discuss some conclusions that can foster certain progress in the practice of intercultural mediation
