Abstract
Cicerón (Siglo I a.C.) y el argentino Domingo Faustino Sarmiento (Siglo XIX
The present work tries to approach the possible similarities in the political thought between two seemingly unconnected and certainly significant prominent figures in his historical contexts: the Roman Marco Tulio Cicerón (1st century B.C.) and the Argentinian Domingo Faustino Sarmiento (19th century A.D.). Across the analysis of two fundamental works inside these production, De republica and Facundo or Civilization or Barbarism, respectively, is possible to find bows that join both historical realities regarding his conception on the political philosophy and his practical application (utilitas) to obtain the best system of possible government.
