Tradición clásica en Epigramas de Ernesto Cardenal

Abstract

Este artículo estudia cómo la traducción de Catulo y Marcial hecha por Ernesto Cardenal preparó el terreno para la creación de sus .Epigramas y cómo algunos de estos imitan a los citados poetas clásicos incorporando como intertextos las versiones que su autor había hecho de ellos. Junto a Catulo, también es importante en los epigramas amorosos la presencia de temas de Propercio, recreados con originalidad en el conciso marco del género. La contribución de Marcial, en cambio, es más programática y técnica que temática.___________________________________This article studies how Ernesto Cardenal's translation of Catullus and Martial prepared the way for the creation of his Epigramas and how some of these imitated the citated classical poets, incorporating as intertexts the versions that their author had made of them. Together with Catullus, the presence of themes from Propertius, recreated with originality in the concise setting of the genre, is also important in his love epigrams. Martial's contribution, however, is more programmatic and technical than thematic.
