Los morfemas de género emergentes (-x y -e) y su tratamiento en la prensa española

Abstract

Desde 2017 ha acaparado gran atención en la prensa española un fenómeno novedoso que ha supuesto una revolución en la manera de entender la cuestión del lenguaje inclusivo: nos referimos a la popularización de los “morfemas de género emergentes”: -x y -e. Los objetivos de este trabajo son, en primer lugar, determinar si se percibe alguna evolución en la manera en que la prensa digital española ha presentado este fenómeno. En segundo lugar, analizar si los argumentos vertidos en la prensa para apoyar o rechazar estos nuevos recursos son o no los mismos que habitualmente se han utilizado con las alternativas tradicionales al masculino genérico. Y, en tercer lugar, comprobar si el rechazo a los mismos es generalizado entre la postura ideológica que siempre ha rechazado el lenguaje inclusivo y si los defensores de los recursos del lenguaje inclusivo más tradicional apoyan también estas nuevas alternativas al masculino genérico.

Since 2017, a new phenomenon has attracted great attention of the Spanish press that has led to a revolution in the way of understanding the issue of inclusive language: we refer to the popularization of “emerging gender morphemes”: –x and –e. The objectives of this work are, in the first place, to determine if any evolution is perceived in the way in which the Spanish digital press has presented this phenomenon. Second, to analyze whether or not the arguments made in the press to support or reject these new resources are the same as those that have usually been used with the traditional alternatives to the generic masculine. And, thirdly, to check if the rejection of them is generalized between the ideological position that has always rejected inclusive language and if the defenders of the resources of the more traditional inclusive language also support these new alternatives to the generic masculine.
