Estudio de las políticas lingüísticas en la Universidad: reflexión sociolingüística sobre la lengua

Abstract

El estudio de las políticas lingüísticas, en cuanto subdisciplina de la Sociolingüística, favorece la comprensión de los complejos mecanismos de relación entre lengua, sociedad, identidad y cultura. Este estudio presenta una práctica llevada a cabo con estudiantes de segundo año del grado en XXXXXX en la Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid. El objetivo fue ofrecer al alumnado fundamentos teóricos y prácticos para relacionar sus conocimientos lingüísticos con cuestiones sociales, promover la comprensión del contexto lingüístico madrileño caracterizado por la convivencia de diversas lenguas y grupos sociales, incentivar la reflexión crítica sobre las teorías sociolingüísticas y sus aplicaciones, y favorecer el análisis metacognitivo mediante el uso del diario de aprendizaje, desarrollando además competencias transversales útiles para su futuro académico y profesional. Las actividades realizadas y el contacto con distintas situaciones lingüísticas contribuyeron a profundizar la percepción sociolingüística del alumnado y a sensibilizarlo ante la creciente diversidad multilingüe del entorno. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The study of language policies, as a subdiscipline of sociolinguistics, promotes understanding of the complex mechanisms of the relationship between language, society, identity and culture. This study presents a practice carried out with second-year students of XXXXX in the Autonomous Community of Madrid. The aim was to provide students with theoretical and practical foundations for relating their linguistic knowledge to social issues, to promote understanding of the linguistic context in Madrid, characterised by the coexistence of different languages and social groups, to encourage critical reflection on sociolinguistic theories and their applications, and to encourage metacognitive analysis through the use of a learning diary, while also developing cross-cutting skills useful for their academic and professional future. The activities carried out and the contact with different linguistic situations contributed to deepening the students' sociolinguistic perception and raising their awareness of the growing multilingual diversity of their environment.
