| dc.description.abstract | The hopes attached to social entrepreneurship for improving disadvantaged environments have spread throughout Africa, but due to the complexities characterising the continent, additional support is needed. This article analyses the promotion of social entrepreneurship led by a non-governmental development organisations (NGDOs) through an action research project in Zimbabwe, southern Africa. The results suggest the need to consider the particularities of the context prior to carrying out any support measures for social entrepreneurship in disadvantaged rural areas, and the design of measures in the framework of a flexible support system which involves people from the local context. | es_ES |
