Sociedades que envejecen y jubilación : horizonte 2020

Abstract

En este artículo se aborda desde, una perspectiva sociodemográfica, el problema de viabilidad de un sistema de bienestar como el instaurado en España y otros países europeos, a partir de la evolución de esta población mayor de 65 años actual y proyectada. Con el trasfondo de la evolución de este grupo de población, se plantea una de las cuestiones de mayor actualidad, esto es, el mantenimiento de las pensiones de jubilación, así como los problemas que surgen en dichas sociedades, en relación a las jubilaciones anticipadas y su incidencia en los problemas de los Estados para absorber ese contingente de población y sus necesidades cuantitativas (pensiones) y cualitativas (calidad de vida). Se trata, sin duda, de uno de los retos más importantes de las sociedades actuales.

The present article deals, from a socio-demographic perspective, with the problem of viability of a system of well-being as the one Spain and other European countries have, a system that started up from the evolution of the current and future 65-year-old population. With the evolutionary background of this group of population, there appears one of the questions of major current importance: the maintenance of the old-age pensions. Consequently, this is a source of debate about the problems that arise in the above mentioned societies, especially in relation to the early pension and its incidence in the problems of the States to absorb this group of the population and its quantitative (pensions) and qualitative (quality of life) needs. Without any doubt, the maintenance of the old-age pensions is one of the most important challenges of current societies.
