Abstract
La autora establece dos funciones para los sueños en las novelas griegas
antiguas: desencadenar peripecias de gran trascendencia en el relato y anticipar
sucesos futuros. Se analizan igualmente la terminología con que se describen las
visiones y el tipo de sueño de que se trata en cada ocasión, de acuerdo con el
Oneirocriticon
de Artemidoro.
Two functions are described for dreams in ancient Greek novels: to cause adventures which are very important for the plot and to anticipate future events. At the same time the author analyses the terminology of the visions and the types of dreams according to Artemidorus' Oneirocriticon.
