Abstract
El estudio parte de las recomendaciones de la Comisión de las Comunidades Europeas sobre
el concepto de calidad en el empleo y, de entre los indicadores recomendados, se centra en los relativos
al concepto de calidad intrínseca del empleo y en los destinados a evaluar la flexibilidad y seguridad
del puesto de trabajo. Para el análisis descriptivo se han utilizado las ocho oleadas de la encuesta
Panel de Hogares Europeo (PHOGUE) realizadas en el periodo comprendido entre los años 1994 y
2001 y para los países de España, Dinamarca, Italia y la media de la denominada Europa de los
quince. Los resultados obtenidos permiten afirmar que la satisfacción de los empleados españoles ha
mejorado durante el periodo de estudio considerado, reduciendo la distancia con la satisfacción de la
Europa de los quince. Además ha permitido caracterizar el mercado español frente al mercado danés
e italiano. Respecto a estos últimos el mercado español, ha evidenciado sus características peculiares,
se ha mostrado muy cercano al mercado italiano y distante del mercado danés
The present study presents the European Commission recommendations about the quality of employment and among the indicators; we find the one about Employment quality and other type of indicators that evaluate the flexibility and safety in the workplace. To perform a very descriptive analysis the study is based on the last eight editions from the so called survey “Panel de Hogares Europeo” (PHOGUE)* conducted during 1994 and 2001 for Spain, Denmark, Italy and the denominated fifteen–European Union countries. The obtained results allow assuring that the Spanish employers’ job satisfaction has been increased in the period, and that the satisfaction distance between Spanish and other fifteen–European countries has decreased. Also, the survey allows having a better picture of the Spanish market compared to the Danish or the Italian. Compared to these last ones the Spanish labour market has shown it peculiarity, that is, the Spanish market is similar to the Italian and very different from the Danish one.
