Palabras desde las sombras. Emoción y resistencia en las cartas de Concha Espina a su traductora norteamericana Terrell Tatum

Abstract

En este trabajo abordamos la vida emocional de la escritora Concha Espina a través de su correspondencia privada mantenida con la hispanista norteamericana Terrell Tatum. Hemos querido contrastar los sentimientos escritos por la autora en estas cartas con sus propias obras y con la bibliografía que ha abordado su vida personal y pública. Por tanto, nuestro objetivo ha sido tratar su figura en términos completos, pero ahondando en sus emociones, las del corazón y las intelectuales, sociales y políticas.

In this work we approach the emotional life of the writer Concha Espina through her private correspondence with the North American Hispanist Terrell Tatum. We wanted to contrast the sentiments written by the author in these letters with her own works and with the bibliography that has dealt with her personal and public life. Therefore, our objective has been to treat his figure in complete terms, but delving into her emotions, those of the heart and the intellectual, social and political ones.
