Abstract
La felicidad es un reto que tenemos como especie ya que, por una parte, hemos casi triplicado la esperanza de vida sin que nuestro cerebro se haya adaptado a dedicarnos este tiempo y, por otra, tenemos pocos conocimientos sobre el control de nuestros pensamientos. La escuela, lejos de colaborar con enseñar a hacer personas más felices, está demasiado centrada en el aprendizaje conceptual y racional y todavía demasiado alejada de la educación emocional. Presentamos una serie de reflexiones y recomendaciones para que, desde los centros educativos, se enseñe al alumnado a ser más feliz.
Happiness is a challenge that individuals have as human beings, since, on one hand, they have almost tripled life expectancy without their brain having been adapted to devoting this time to them, and on the other hand, they have little knowledge about the control of their thoughts. In addition, school, far from collaborating with teaching how to make people happier, is more focused on the conceptual and rational learning, and it is still further away from emotional education. This paper introduces a series of reflections and recommendations, so that educational centres teach the student body to be happier.
