Efecto de un entorno personal de aprendizaje sobre la asignatura de Estadística en el Grado de Turismo (EUMediterrani, UdG)

Abstract

Introducir el enfoque PLE en un entorno universitario y evaluar su efecto sobre el rendimiento de los alumnos en una asignatura universitaria, en estadística, es el objetivo perseguido. El efecto se evalúa comparando el promedio del rendimiento de las cohortes de 2015 a 2021, siendo el 2018 el año en que se inicia el enfoque PLE, consistente en dar información sobre qué es un PLE y facilitar recursos (manual, canal YouTube), herramientas (app Estatest, Moodle y el software SPSS) y formas de cooperación (Instagram y WhatsApp del grupo). El enfoque PLE demuestra un efecto positivo en el rendimiento de los alumnos a partir del 2018.

The objective of this research is to introduce the PLE approach in a university environment and to evaluate its effect on the students’ performance in a university subject like Statistics.This effect is evaluated by comparing the average performance of the cohorts from 2015 to 2021, being 2018 the year in which the we began to apply the PLE approach. On the one hand, the PLE consisted of providing information on what a PLE is, and on the other hand, of providing resources (manuals, YouTube channel), tools (Estatest app, Moodle and SPSS software) and forms of cooperation (Instagram and WhatsApp of the group). The PLE approach demonstrates a positive effect on students’ achievement as of 2018.
