Revisión sistemática sobre programas de prevención de la violencia de género en la adolescencia

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo fue realizar una revisión sistemática sobre programas de prevención de la violencia de género en la adolescencia. La violencia de género es un problema de salud pública que afecta a, aproximadamente, un tercio de las mujeres a nivel global. Por ello, intervenir en esta etapa resulta esencial, pues es cuando los jóvenes empiezan a experimentan con nuevas formas de pensar y comportarse en sus relaciones. La búsqueda se realizó a través de la Web of Science, y, tras aplicar los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, se contó con un total de 13 artículos. El trabajo destaca la necesidad de identificar las revisiones sistemáticas que se vienen realizando y ofrece una síntesis estructurada de los artículos, detallando la muestra, el diseño, los instrumentos y los resultados obtenidos en cada uno de ellos. Dichos resultados muestran como las diversas intervenciones estudiadas han logrado reducir la perpetración de diversas formas de violencia, además de una mejora en el bienestar de los participantes y un cambio en las actitudes y comportamientos que actúan como mantenedores del problema. Además, también se encontró eficacia en las intervenciones que involucraban a la familia. Esto ofrece una visión más amplia sobre aquello que funciona para el desarrollo de futuras intervenciones.

The aim of this paper was to conduct a systematic review of gender-based violence prevention programmes for adolescents. Gender-based violence is a public health problem that affects approximately one third of women globally. Intervening at this stage is therefore essential, as it is when young people begin to experiment with new ways of thinking and behaving in their relationships. The search was conducted through the Web of Science, and after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of 13 articles were found. The paper highlights the need to identify the systematic reviews that have been carried out and offers a structured synthesis of the articles, detailing the sample, the design, the instruments and the results obtained in each of them. These results show how the various interventions studied have been successful in reducing the perpetration of various forms of violence, as well as improving the well-being of participants and changing the attitudes and behaviours that act as maintainers of the problem. In addition, interventions involving the family were also found to be effective. This offers a broader view of what works for the development of future interventions.
