Con base en la documentación del Priorato
de las Ermitas del Archivo Arzobispal de Sevilla,
se traza aquí una historia de una de las hermandades dedicadas al culto mariológico con más
arraigo y resonancia popular en el Territoio del
Andévalo durante el Antiguo Régimen. Sobrapasando el aspecto institucional, el autor relaciona la financiación del culto con su Trascendencia
en la religión popular
Based on the rolls of the Priorato de las Ermitas (Seville Archbishop´s Archive), the history of one of te most popular bratherhoods devoted to Our Lady cult in the territory of Andevalo during the Old Regime is written here. Its author bypass the institutional aspect of this matter to focus on the relation of cult funding with its sway on the religious feeling of the people
