Abstract
En este artículo se analiza, en primer lugar, los contenidos geológicos
que se incluyen en los libros de texto y los que aparecen en el Real Decreto
del Ministerio. Posteriormente se plantean algunas consideraciones que tendrían
que ser validadas referentes a los contenidos de temas geológicos en
los libros de texto en la Educación Secundaria y, para terminar, se proponen
algunas recomendaciones de carácter didáctico con objeto de promover una
enseñanza más atractiva y participativa del alumnado de Secundaria. Las
Rutas geodidácticas, en donde los puntos descritos constituyen claras ejemplificaciones
de problemas geológicos son un buen recurso
An analysis is made of the legal framework and geological content of textbooks in the lower, obligatory level of Secondary Education (ESO) in Spain. The discussion on the geological content of textbooks shows the main deficiencies of the present state of Secondary Education on what concerns Earth Sciences and the need for a clear increase of both the content of geological disciplines. It also shows the convenience to make geology more attractive for students.At this point, the Geo-Routes (geodidactical itineraries along relevant areas) stand as a key-instrument for an active and participative teaching, due to their high educational and exemplifying potential
