Abstract
In this article the function of prophetic dreams in Leucippe and Clitophon is analysed. Although there are fewer dreams than in the other novels, some of them are very complex and can be interpreted in different ways. As well as in the other novels, in Achilles Tatius dreams can be used to anticipate future events and to make the dreamer behave in a certain way.
