Ureña, Altamira y el Anuario. Crónica de un desencuentro

Abstract

Se presentan las figuras de Rafael de Ureña y Smenjaud y de Rafel Altamira Crevea, destacando sus principales orientaciones historiográficas en contraste con el coetáneo Eduardo de Hinojosa. Las marcadas diferencias entre estos tres historiadores, unidas a otras circunstancias, seguramente explican dos llamativas ausencias en la empresa del Anuario (1924), así como la incomunicación de la revista y sus autores con la de Ciencias Jurídicas y Sociales, fundada por Ureña (1918) en la facultad de Derecho madrileña.

On the figures of Rafael de Ureña y Smenjaud and Rafael Altamira y Crevea, highlighting their historiographical orientations in contrast with their contemporary Eduardo de Hinojosa. The marked differences between the these historians, together with other circumstances, probably explain the absence of Ureña and Altamira in the Anuario (1924), as well as the lack of communication between this journal and its authors in relation to the Revista de Ciencias jurídicas y sociales founded by Ureña (1918) at the Madrid Law School.
