Características de la generación centennial y su relación con el perfil del estudiante virtual

Abstract

En esta investigación se planteó como objetivo describir las características de la generación centennial de acuerdo con las dimensiones educativa, social, mediática y laboral y su relación con el perfil del estudiante virtual. la metodología fue de tipo cualitativo con un enfoque descriptivo transversal. Como técnica se aplicó el análisis de documentos digitales y como instrumento una matriz por dimensión para el registro, análisis y síntesis de la información. Se obtuvo como resultado la caracterización detallada del centennial de acuerdo con las dimensiones y subdimensiones propuestas y se estableció la relación con el perfil del estudiante virtual. Se concluye que es importante que se analicen las características de la generación centennial y el escenario laboral actual y futuro para tomar decisiones pertinentes respecto a la incorporación de este tipo de alumno al nivel superior en ambientes virtuales

The objective of this research was to describe the centennial generation according to the educational, social, mediatic and labor dimensions and their relationship with the profile of the virtual student. the methodology was qualitative with a transversal descriptive approach. the technique used was the analysis of digital documents and the instrument was a dimension matrix for the recording analysis and synthesis of the information. the detailed characterization of the centennial generation was obtained as a result of the proposed dimensions and subdimensions and the relationship with the profile of the virtual student was established. It is concluded that it is important to analyze the characteristics of the Centennial generation and their current and future labor scenarios to make relevant decisions regarding the inclusion of this type of student to university- level virtual environments
