La sanidad en Huelva a través de sus actas capitulares (1835-1900)

Abstract

El siglo XIX es considerado un momento clave en el desarrollo de diversos ámbitos de la sociedad, como la educación o las comunicaciones. Se produce un cambio en la concepción de la sanidad, la higiene y otros factores que se relacionan con la salud y la mortalidad. Asimismo, Huelva como capital, por sus características geográficas y por el contexto, sufrió este mismo proceso con algunas características propias. El objetivo es analizar cuál era la situación higiénico-sanitaria en esta ciudad durante los últimos dos tercios del siglo XIX, así como conocer los problemas a los que se tuvo que hacer frente y de qué manera se adoptaron soluciones, a través del análisis de las actas capitulares del Archivo Histórico del Ayuntamiento onubense.
