Estudio preliminar sobre las facies volcaníclásticas de la Formación Zamoranos (Trías Subbético)

Abstract

In some outcrops o f the Trias o f facies Keuper in the Central Subbetic Zone has been defined the Zamorano Formation, dated as Norian. In this formation is possible to identify conglomerates with pebbles of different nature, between them, the volcanogenetic ones. These last are present as porphyritic basaltic and glasses fragments. These volcaniclastic rocks have been interpreted as the result of a pre-or Norian volcanic activity in the south Iberian Triassic shelf
