Abstract
In this article, we want to present an analysis about the situation of women in the management of school centres; a field traditionally reserved and delimited to men, despite being evident that the teaching role is developed in a higher percentage by women rather than men. We try to approach to the role that women develop in school centres, and, therefore, we have based on documentation obtained through bibliographic revision on the topic and data obtained in an investigation that we have carried out in pre-school and primary education centres of Andalusia. The convergence of these two streams serves us as the point of reflection about women and their role in educational organizations.
