Abstract

We address in this work the figure of Miguel Ángel de la Campa, a Cuban diplomat who has represented Cuba in different countries since 1919. In the context of World War II, the union of the American nations was proposed for the defense of territorial integrity, but also in commercial and cultural terms. Miguel Ángel de la Campa would be one of the precursors of this union, although from an identity and inter-American perspective.
