Abstract
En el presente artículo se describe el proceso de intervención con población
inmigrante afectada por cáncer. Tras la derivación de la Unidad de Trabajo
Social (UTS) de zona, la afectada es incluida en un programa de alojamiento
con el objetivo de facilitar su proceso de readaptación emocional y social,
para a continuación iniciar un itinerario personalizado de inserción. El
proceso de intervención presentó dos fases: asistencial y de reinserción
laboral, ambas fases consensuadas con la paciente.
Se aborda en dicho caso una intervención que servirá como modelo para
afrontar las variables personales, emocionales, sociales y de reincorporación
a la actividad laboral de una mujer inmigrante, que ha sobrevivido a dos
episodios oncológicos. La paciente cuenta con sesenta y tres años, reside
sola en Sevilla (España), y dispone de una escasa red social y nula red
familiar.
Este abordaje se enmarca dentro de los programas del servicio de Trabajo
social de una ONG, como es la Asociación Española contra el Cáncer. Esta
entidad cuenta con un equipo de profesionales especializados en oncología.
In the present case, it describes the intervention process with immigrant population affected by cancer. From UTS derivation, the patient was included in an accommodation program, with objective of facilitating her social and emotional readjustmen process to commence her insertion personalized itinerary. The intervention process presented two stages: welfare and social rehabilitation, both agreed stages by consensus with the patient. It tackles in the present case an intervention that will use as model for facing personal, emotional, social, and social rehabilitation variables of immigrant woman, who had survived two oncology process. The patient was sixty three years old, with residence in Seville (Spain), and had a barely social net and familiar net. This intervention has frame the Social Work Service’s program of a Ngo, as Spanish Association of Cancer. This Association has a professional team working in oncology.
