Discriminación y etnocentrismo en España

Abstract

El fin de esta investigación es ofrecer algunas de las claves que explican el racismo y la discriminación en España hacia ciertas comunidades que presentan rasgos de vulnerabilidad y demostrar cómo se manifiestan tales actitudes y hacia quiénes se dirigen. La discriminación hacia el pueblo gitano es la más flagrante y, a la vez, profundamente asimilada, tanto en el ámbito europeo como en el español, el colectivo peor valorado socialmente y el que más discriminación sufre por parte de la sociedad española. Otro grupo especialmente afectado por manifestaciones de racismo son las personas de otros países o inmigrantes, por ejemplo, hallamos en forma de islamofobia a la población originaria de países árabes. Se tratará de responder a la cuestión ¿existe racismo en España? a través del análisis de una serie de textos y /o documentos donde se analizan estas cuestiones y se profundiza además en otras dimensiones.

The aim of this research is to offer some keys that explain racism and discrimination in Spain towards certain communities that show traits of vulnerability and demonstrate how these attitudes are manifested and to whom they are addressed. Discrimination against the Roma is the most blatant and at the same time deeply assimilated, both in Europe and in Spain, the group worst valued socially form and the one that suffers more discrimination on the part of the Spanish society. Another group especially affected by manifestations of racism is the migrant group, for instance, in the form of Islamophobia, against the population originating in Arab countries. This article will try to answer the question "Is there racism in Spain? Through the analysis of a series of texts and / or documents that analyze these issues and offers more indepepth analisis of other dimensions.
