Abstract
El artículo propone, además de los métodos clásicos de educación en imágenes, otras
estrategias para completar una alfabetización audiovisual global y una ciudadanía plena.
La lectura crítica se complementa con una producción audiovisual sistemática de calidad
que aborda temas cercanos y una concienciación sobre el rol de los medios públicos
en una democratización cultural y una sociedad más justa. No hay educación, cultura
ni televisión de calidad sin participación ciudadana consciente y democracia plena
Building and expanding from the classic methods of audiovisual education, this article proposes strategies to achieve a global audiovisual literacy and a full citizenship. Critical reading is supplemented with a high-quality systematic audiovisual production on ordinary subjects and raises awareness of the role the media play in a cultural democratization and in a more equalitarian society. In a genuine democracy there is no education, culture, or high-quality television without the full participation of the citizens
