Evolución del bienestar global en las regiones europeas: análisis a través de un indicador sintético multidimensional

Abstract

El análisis del bienestar global desde diferentes niveles geográficos es clave para entender las desigualdades territoriales y mejorar la vida de los ciudadanos. El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la evolución de dicho bienestar en las regiones de la Unión Europea entre 2000 y 2018, considerando 2008 como punto de inflexión. Para ello, se emplea un indicador sintético multidimensional propio utilizando datos regionales de Eurostat. Los resultados revelan como, durante el periodo analizado, las regiones alemanas, españolas y francesas experimentan trayectorias generalmente positivas, mientras que las búlgaras, portuguesas o rumanas presentan un recorrido más estable o incluso decreciente. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The analysis of overall well-being across different geographical levels is key to understanding territorial inequalities and improving citizens' lives. The aim of this research is to analyze the evolution of such well-being in the regions of the European Union between 2000 and 2018, considering 2008 as a turning point. To do this, a custom multidimensional synthetic indicator is used, based on regional data from Eurostat. The results reveal that, during the analyzed period, German, Spanish, and French regions generally follow positive trajectories, while Bulgarian, Portuguese, and Romanian regions show a more stable or even declining trend.
