Abstract
consistencia interna (a = .93).
University Programs for Older People (UPO) are included in the academic offering of most universities in Spain. Like other studies, UPO must be rigorously evaluated taking into account the point of view of the students about different facets about the program. V-PUM is a scale comprised of 15 items about the subjects, facilities, and persons (teachers, students, and staff) involved in a UPO. This paper presents V-PUM and analyzes its factorial structure with data from a sample of 351 UPO students (45.8% males and 54.2% females) of the University of XXXC (Spain). Unrestricted Factor Analysis were computed with FACTOR-9.2, showing an unidimensional structure with 55.2% of explained variance, satisfactory Goodness-of-fit indexes (GFI = 0.98, AGFI = 0.98, and RMSR = 0.072), and high internal consistency (a = .93). V-PUM is a scale of simple administration and correction, and the present preliminary study show good psychometric properties. It would be beneficial to use V-PUM in several UPO to confirm its usefulness in the evaluation of these programmes.
