(United Academic Journals, 2020) Akhmedova, Anna; Mas Machuca, Marta; Castell, Cristina

Content aspects valued by users of travel blogs. Insights from brazilian travelers
(United Academic Journals, 2020) Andrade, Josmar; Fukuyama Sobata, Marcelo
Using a sample of 384 Brazilian respondents, the results of this quantitative exploratory study indicate that travel blogs are considered the second most important source of information in travel planning (after referrals from family and friends). Among 8 aspects evaluated, respondents attributed more importance to contents related to "itineraries and attractions" and "transportation and locomotion". These 8 aspects were reduced, with the use of the factor analysis technique, to 3 factors: the first, "General Information", was more valued by women, people with less education, less income range and lower frequency to travel. The second factor, "Stay", was more valued by people with higher income and who travel less alone. Finally, there were no differences between the groups analyzed in the third factor identified, "Itineraries"

(United Academic Journals, 2020) Gonçalves, Maria J. A.; Camarinha, Ana P.; Abreu, António J.; Teixeira, Sandrina F.; Ferreira da Silva, Amélia
Technologies have been experiencing strong growth in the tourism industry, mainly with the use of emerging technologies. This growing predominance is based on web 2.0 with regard to communication and also the semantic web, allowing an easy integration be-tween the tourist entities involved. However, are web tools designed and coded proper-ly, for use by people with disabilities? This article aimed to present the results of acces-sibility on the websites of tourism. Each home page was analyzed in terms of web ac-cessibility from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). It has been found that the ma-jority of home pages fail in one or more W3C web accessibility measures, which means that users with disabilities may have substantial problems accessing the websites. Several suggestions on how to improve the accessibility of the websites are offered. This study contributed to the discussion on the use of tourism technologies by people with disabilities
